Marie-Line Lubin – President
Has been involved with non-profit organizations since 2006, she held such positions as past treasurer for the Suffolk County Women's Business Enterprise Coalition (SCWBEC) and Central Islip-Islandia Rotary Club, current member of Haitian Orphan Wish, current member of Pastoral Council at Holy Cross Church. She has a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and owned her own business as an event planner for non-profit organization for more than 10 years, beside the English language, she speaks, read and write French, Haitian Creole and Spanish fluently.
Denis Charles Saloman – Vice President
Denis is a software developer working full time as a consultant at NYK Lines in New Jersey. He lives with his wife, Rosemary, daughter and granddaughter in Stony Brook, NY.
Denis received his BS in Systems Engineering at the NYU School of Science and Engineering in 1970. He also graduated the same school with a Masters in Industrial Management in 1975.
After graduation he entered the U.S. Army Reserve as a Lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engineers serving at Ft. Belvoir, VA and later in the 411th Engineer Brigade at Ft. Tilden, Rockaway, NY.
Denis has been working in various areas of computer programming and analysis his entire working career, starting with his first professional job at Pfizer’s Brooklyn manufacturing plant. He worked at other companies for a time until he started his own consulting company, Mini-Software Associates in 1980.
Lou Calixte, EA,– Treasurer
Is the President and Chief Operating Officer of GSL Financial Group, Inc., an accounting and tax preparation firm in Rosedale, NY. He has over 10 years in the tax arena with expertise in federal and state tax controversies. As an IRS special Enrolled Agent, he has earned the right to practice before the IRS at all level. Mr. Calixte also provides pretrial tax litigation support to attorneys. Mr. Calixte is a graduate fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute (NTPI).
Gerald Jean - Secretary
Has been in the Financial Services industries for 31 years as a Licensed Agent, Mortgage Broker and Real Estate Broker. As an Independent Business Owner, he is currently representing Primerica as a Regional Vice President and Financial Advisor holding Series 6, 63, 26 and 65 Investment Licenses for the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Florida.
Gerald was a professional soccer player, he played for The Under 17 Haitian National Team and The Men Haitian National Team. He studied and holds a certificate in Sports Psychology. Is a past president of The New York Masters Athletic Soccer Club for 2 years and is currently serving as a special Advisor.
Gerald has also been on the board of the College Canado-Haitian Alumni Association, Inc. as Public Relations CoChair and Chair of Fundraising committees.
Rosemary Caputo Saloman - Outreach Director
Is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW), was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She is married and lives with her two children, one granddaughter and two dogs in Stony Brook, NY. Rosemary received her BA in English Literature with a minor in Education from Pace University in 1973. Rosemary became an English teacher and later chairperson of the English Dept for a business school in NYC.
Later, she attended Stony Brook University from which she graduated with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree in 1992. Rosemary then worked with various populations as a Social Worker and Therapist. These populations include pregnant and parenting teenagers, the homeless, people suffering from AIDS. She did therapy with people having various mental health issues as well as adoption concerns and issues. Rosemary did groups on depression, angels, women's issues and parent's issues regarding children.
Among her many accomplishments Rosemary co-authored a children's book: Home Is Where You Hang Your Heart, about homelessness.
